The MVP Process
No plans to build an app — and yet, here we are.

I had absolutely no plans to build an app.
I love building apps. I love solving problems. My Notes app is full of ideas, concepts, and solutions that I’d build tomorrow if I had the bandwidth. But when we started The FundWave, the whole point was to do something that wasn’t an app. I already have one — FELLI, a music app — and this was supposed to be something different.
Up until now, The FundWave was just a podcast. No tech. No product. Just stories, insights, and ideas.
But once I had the vision for this product — and what I call M.O.E. (means of execution) — it was hard to ignore.
So this month has been all about figuring that out. Could I really pull this off? Did I have the means?
The Design Process
My process always starts the same: I need to see it. I’m not a designer (though I wish I was), but I love design and I’m super involved in every product I work on.
So I got on with my designer — someone who’s worked with me on The FundWave from the very beginning. I shared the vision and some design requirements for how I saw the app functioning. He always gives me something solid to start with. And from there, we go back and forth — refining, testing ideas, adjusting layouts. That collaboration is everything.
Once the design felt close, I started mapping out how we could actually build this thing.
Bringing It to Life
Around the first week of December, I started sending videos, screenshots, and prototypes to KJ. He was bugging out — like, “How did you do this so fast?” But when I have a vision and the right team, things move. I move.
One of my superpowers is hiring, so I spent some time finding developers who could help bring this to life. I found someone great. We locked in.
And I’m so happy to report: the MVP is done.
The Fastest I’ve Ever Built Anything

Seriously. This is the fastest I’ve ever built an app. It’s fully designed, built, and ready to launch. We’re set for the App Store. We’re set for Google Play.
This was just a quick update to let you know that since last month — when this idea was just a sketch in my head — we’ve brought it to life. And now we’re heading into the holidays with something real.
I’m excited for the new year. I love this season, but also don’t — mostly because everything slows down and my brain keeps going. But it’s all good. 2025 is almost here, and I’m ready for people to finally see what we’ve built.
Let’s go.
